At Sorenson, we go above and beyond to exceed your expectations and meet the demands of your project. As part of our total service capabilities, we offer comprehensive support operations including Finishing, Centerless Grinding, and Tooling.

Our Finishing Operations Capabilities include airless vacuum degreasing (TIYODA), Heat Treat & Zone Anneal, Chemical De-burring & Passivating, Precious Metal Electroplating (Outsourced), Chemical Film & Anodizing (Outsourced)

Centerless Grinding facilitates raw material bar stock grinding at a tolerance control of + / - .0001 inches and up to .750 inches diameter capacity.

Tooling Capabilities include Advanced CAD / CAM technology support for layout and CAM development, automated CAM cutting equipment, multi axis CNC machining for advanced CNC production tool grinding (STREAM), and complete production for fixtures and perishable tooling.

Sorenson Engineering employs a team of technicians especially dedicated to Machine Maintenance and Tooling Renewal.

In 2005 Sorenson Engineering worked with an automation company to design and build an automated machine for Automated Contact Hood Assembly. With this machine we are able to press the stainless steel hoods onto the contacts and measure force requirements in the assembly process with the capability to probe, and test insertion and retention forces.
